Despite the many setbacks of 2020, London-via-Brighton band Porridge Radio have been innovative and proactive enough to maintain an upward trajectory. Not ones to miss a trick, the rising quartet have shared a rare example of a pleasing original Christmas tune. Characteristically angsty, 'The Last Time I Saw You (O Christmas)' is sprinkled in festive synth sounds, as songwriter Dana Margolin's cleanly strummed guitar supports her candid vocals, before bursting into a frantic chorus. Touching on the Ground Hog Day feelings that the Christmas holiday often bring, Margolin said: “It’s a song about having a miserable time every Christmas and the same cycles of heartbreak and depression endlessly repeating themselves.
